Scott’s commitment to enrich the lives of all those who live, work and play on the water follows the rich history celebrated by Hucks since 1889.  Looking back on over a century of business at the same location in Rockport, Ontario, Scott acknowledges that Hucks’  success is in large part due to the efforts and hard work of those who came before him.  From Fred and Ellen, Ed and Cassie, Gerry and Becky, Morris and Joyce, Peter and Jody, and Graeme, building customer relationships and making the lives of customers more enjoyable on the River was always the first priority.  Today with his current business partners (Mark Dalton and  Nathan Sheaff), Scott and his wife Heather (Huck) continue to provide customers with first-class service, products and facilities including future residential redevelopment.

Scott received the President’s Award from Boating Ontario in 2019 for his continued contribution to the long-term impact of the boating industry.  As a member of the new product design teams  for both  Boston Whaler & Tiara Yachts, Scott continues to stay connected to ” what’s next ” in the boat business.  In 2009, Scott earned accreditation as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker and locally offers his time and resources as a Board Member to the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation
